
Tom Thumb Nursery Aims and Objectives
· To provide good quality education, in a friendly and informal atmosphere
· To group the children by age, using three separate floors, and to progress them throughout the Nursery by academic year, but also taking parents wishes into account
· To encourage physical development through regular garden play and fun movement sessions
· To follow OFSTED guidelines whilst planning short, medium and long term plans
· To follow and regularly update our policies and procedures
· To maintain a high level of trained and qualified staff, to ensure that staff to child ratios are kept at all times
· To offer placements to students and volunteers to help them with their training and to help us maintain our high standards with plenty of extra helping hands
· To work closely with parents as partners in all aspects of their child’s life at Nursery
· To keep up to date with other local Nurseries to ensure that we offer an excellent service at a competitive price
· To encourage the children’s creative development through lots of arty and tactile activities, and to produce wonderful displays of their work
· To give the children access to abundant resources, well maintained and updated toys & equipment and to keep the environment clean at all times
· To offer healthy, fresh home cooked snacks and meals
