Tom Thumb Nursery prides itself on having a highly qualified and caring team. As well as carrying out formal childcare qualifications staff are expected to undertake additional training in specfic curriculum areas and all staff reguraly attend first aid training, basic food hygiene and child protection courses.

Nursery Director
Mrs Claire Townsend
Claire has worked at the nursery since 1995 and took the nursery over in July 2005. She holds an NVQ level 4 Certificate and is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. Claire is currently the Inclusion co-ordinator holding a level 3 certificate in SENCO training.
Nursery Manager
Miss Becky Carter
Becky has worked at Tom thumb since March 2005 and took over the role of manager in May 2009. she holds a Btec National diploma in Childhood studies and currently working towards a level 4 qualification.
Early Years Professional
Miss Katherine McCombie
Katherine is a fully qualified teacher and is the letters and sounds co-ordinator. She oversees all planning for the early years foundation stage and often works with the children on the elves floor
